Unusual hotels in Paris

Paris is the best destination for a romantic getaway, but why not make it even more memorable by staying in one of the many unusual hotels in the heart of Paris! I have written a brief description of four of the hotels so you can make your own mind up, which would be the strangest place to stay!

The first is Hotel Mayet, located in les Invalides, it is a cozy hotel and best described as a modern bed and breakfast. Breakfast is served in a basement on a long table containing a very light tablecloth, but it gives you the chance to get to know the other guests! The rooms are decorated in different patterns, but everyone in the colors red and gray is the most unusual part of this hotel, how the halls and the common areas are decorated! They contain all major graphic designs that are neon colors – very different from your traditional B & B!

The other hotel is Hotel Saint-Merry, located in the historic Marais district of Paris. As you may have guessed by the name, Hotel Saint-Merry was originally a prestbytery and one of the bedrooms is even crossed by a flying buttress! As the building dates from the 18th century, the hotel owners decided to give the hotel a gothic style decor complete with chandeliers, carved wooden chairs and they have retained all the original beams that add to its creepy atmosphere – this hotel is definitely not for those who are afraid of the dark!

The third hotel is the very beautiful Le Bellechasse and is a must for art lovers everywhere! This is a five-star hotel and a member of the small luxury hotels in the world! The hotel has 34 rooms, all of which are decorated by Christian Lacroix! The design theme in the rooms is from the "old to the new" and space designs include butterflies in the attic along with some other very large printed tapestries. A lot of time and effort have been put in the decor of this hotel, and all rooms are completely unique, making this a hotel to remember!
